Hello there! 👋 I'm a Research Scientist with 27+ years of experience, possessing an extensive skill-set in statistical analysis, OR, M&S, AI/ML, strategic planning, and the streamlining of business policies and processes, with PMP certification and a track record of successful project completion and goal achievement.
I like to write software that help humans make better decisions. I spend most of my time turning coffee into manuscripts, jupyter notebooks, codes and all kinds of models. I see myself as a convex combination of OR analyst, decision scientist and simulation modeler. Professionally, as a researcher scientist at IST, I am working at the intersection of OR, Data Science, Systems Science and Computational Science to improve sequential decision making under uncertainty in various application areas. I am broadly interested in AI for decision-making, with a focus on improving real-world systems using approaches including optimization, reinforcement learning, simulation modeling, and generative AI models.
